Earned-first creative agency, Racepoint Global, today announced the appointment of veteran technology journalist and communications executive Eric Savitz as Senior Content Advisor. In his role, Savitz will counsel Racepoint clients on executive communications, thought leadership, and content development, bringing decades of newsroom experience and deep technology industry knowledge to help brands tell sharp and compelling stories. Working closely with Racepoint’s San Francisco Bay Area team, Savitz will also add further senior-level technology expertise in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Savitz brings more than 40 years of experience spanning technology journalism and corporate communications. As a journalist and editor, he held roles at leading business and technology publications including Barron’s, Forbes, SmartMoney, The Industry Standard, and Dow Jones News Service, covering the companies and trends shaping the technology industry. He later brought that newsroom perspective to senior communications roles at General Motors, Roku, and Brunswick Group. His experience across both technology companies and major global brands gives him a unique perspective on helping organizations outside the traditional tech sector navigate how technology and AI are reshaping their industries and tell those stories with credibility.

“Eric understands what makes a story matter. He has spent his career on both sides of the conversation, as a journalist evaluating and writing about the biggest stories in technology, and as an advisor helping companies articulate their own stories,” said Bill Davies, CEO of Racepoint Global. “That perspective is incredibly valuable for our clients as they navigate increasingly complex and crowded technology conversations. Whether we’re working with a technology innovator or helping an established brand define its role in the next wave of technology, Eric’s experience will help us continue raising the bar on the counsel, content, and storytelling we deliver.”

As Senior Content Advisor, Savitz will be integrated into several of Racepoint’s client teams, partnering with the agency’s senior leaders to develop differentiated points of view, strengthen thought leadership platforms, and translate complex ideas into narratives that resonate. He will also support Racepoint’s work around major industry moments, including CES, where Savitz and the agency have deep experience helping brands break through one of the technology industry’s most competitive media environments.

“Simply having a good story isn’t enough. Even the most recognizable brands must have a clear point of view and a compelling way to communicate it to break through in today’s landscape,” said Savitz. “I’ve known Racepoint for years from my time as a journalist and have seen firsthand how the team is able to understand complex technology and connect reporters with stories that matter. I’m excited to now work alongside the team and bring my experience to help tell stories that break through.”

Savitz’s appointment further strengthens Racepoint’s senior advisory capabilities as the agency continues to expand its work across artificial intelligence, enterprise technology, and other rapidly evolving sectors, while helping established brands navigate the increasingly important role technology plays in their businesses and industries.
