French Provincial estate just 50 minutes north of Manhattan will sell at Concierge Auctions’ Hong Kong Global Sale
NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, September 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Concierge Auctions today announced that bidding is now officially open for Renamor, a rare 151-acre legacy estate within the gated enclave of Tuxedo Park just 50 minutes north of Manhattan in New York. Listed for $24.995 million in cooperation with Richard Ellis of Ellis Sotheby’s International Realty, the auction will culminate live on 29 September as part of Concierge Auctions’ Hong Kong Global Sale, one of the firm’s marquee international auction events.
The 2026 Hong Kong Global Sale will bring together a curated collection of luxury properties from across the globe, with bidding culminating live at The Upper House in Hong Kong. Designed to connect exceptional properties with Concierge Auctions’ international buyer base, the event extends exposure beyond local markets to qualified buyers across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. The firm’s 2025 Hong Kong sale demonstrated the reach and competitive nature of the event, achieving a 100% sell-through rate and generating more than $1.25 billion in aggregate bids across its offerings.
“There are very few opportunities to bring an estate with this kind of history and individuality to the auction stage, and that makes the start of bidding particularly exciting,” said Chad Roffers, CEO and Co-Founder of Concierge Auctions. “Our platform is designed to concentrate that interest around a defined sale date, build momentum, and ultimately let the market speak. Culminating the auction live in Hong Kong brings that competition to an international stage and puts Renamor in front of a highly engaged global audience at a pivotal moment in the sale.”
“Renamor is unlike anything else on the market, with 151 private acres, multiple residences, lake access and a setting that feels like its own private world,” said Ellis. “To find that inside the gates of Tuxedo Park, less than an hour from Manhattan, is exceptional. We’re thrilled to be working with Concierge Auctions to bring Renamor to a global audience and find the right buyer to carry this remarkable estate into its next chapter.”
Commissioned in 1928 by George S. Amory and his wife, Renee, whose combined names inspired “Renamor,” the estate was conceived as a European-inspired retreat and remains a distinctive example of French Provincial architecture. Spanning 151 acres, the property encompasses three residences totaling more than 22,000 square feet, along with a private boathouse on Tuxedo Lake, a secluded log cabin, and extensive amenities for recreation and entertaining. Throughout the estate, period architectural details and historic craftsmanship are complemented by expansive grounds, old bridle trails, and spaces designed for both gathering and retreat.
Within the main residence, expansive entertaining spaces include a great hall, grand salon, banquet-sized dining room with a silver vault, library, fumoir, wine cellar, and chapel. A fully renovated 3,800-square-foot guest house dating to the 1930s and a 4,500-square-foot carriage house with a private apartment provide additional accommodations across the estate.
Beyond the main residence, Renamor unfolds as an expansive private compound built for recreation and retreat. A boathouse sits along Tuxedo Lake, and a secluded log cabin with a stone fireplace offers escapes within the property. Additional amenities include a spa, pool house, putting green and sand trap, patios, fountains, antique statuary, and old bridle trails.
Despite its nearly century-old pedigree, the estate has also been equipped for modern self-sufficiency. More than $1 million has been invested in commercial-grade geothermal and solar infrastructure, including a microgrid and high-efficiency upgrades, allowing Renamor to operate entirely off the grid and independently of local utilities while preserving its historic character.
The estate sits within Tuxedo Park, established around the 291-acre Tuxedo Lake and recognized as the first planned residential community in America. Life within the gates centers on the lake and private club, with golf, tennis, and boating, while the surrounding Lower Hudson Valley offers access to preserved forests, hiking and biking trails, championship golf, skiing, dining, and cultural destinations.
Approximately 50 minutes from Manhattan by car, Tuxedo Park also has a local Metro-North station offering direct service to New York City. West Point and Woodbury Common are within easy reach, while Stewart International, Westchester County, and Teterboro airports provide convenient aviation access.
