Vehicle gives Avi Armstead safer access to medical care and community life
INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Thanks to the most successful fundraiser in its history, Samantha’s House and Van Foundation has given a new wheelchair-accessible SUV to Avi Armstead and his family. Keller & Keller Injury Lawyers facilitated the donation, which was presented on October 20 at the firm’s Indianapolis headquarters, 2850 N Meridian St. Video of the presentation is available online.
The vehicle was funded by the foundation’s 16th annual golf outing on September 1, which raised more than $75,000. The event brings local professionals and community leaders together each year to pay for the purchase and modification of vehicles for children with disabilities across central Indiana.
For the Armstead family, the new SUV removes a major barrier to everyday life. It lets Avi get to medical appointments and take part in community activities more safely and easily.
“To be able to participate in the community means the world to us, and these kinds of things don’t happen unless everyone comes together to provide a really deserving gift for a family that is such a vital part of our community,” said Jim Keller, President of Samantha’s House and Managing Partner at Keller & Keller Injury Lawyers. “We’re so happy to give back after coming off of our biggest fundraiser to date of over $75,000.”

Why Mobility Matters
Samantha’s House and Van Foundation is built on the belief that limited mobility should never limit a child’s ability to participate in the world. The foundation provides modified vehicles to families in need, often filling gaps that insurance and public programs leave open.
The partnership extends Keller & Keller’s nearly century-long record of advocacy in the Indianapolis community. Beyond the courtroom, the firm backs families facing life-altering circumstances with direct, practical help, whether through legal representation or community investment.
